Wow, what a great idea and it’s finally coming. A skating rink called Rink at the Brink.
This skating rink is the latest attraction to Niagara Falls and it will operate during the Festival of Lights which opens November 27th, 2009. The skating rink is 18×36 metres (or about 60×120 feet), a good size for fun skating.
The rink will be in operation until the end of February 2010. It will have a steel and glass roof and have clear span windows so you can enjoy the view of Niagara Falls and will be open from 10AM to 10PM every day. I like the price too. Only $8 for adults and $5.75 for kids. You can even rent skates.
So get your blades out and sharpened, this promises to be a great attraction.

Well, not exactly, but I did conduct a personal tour of the Niagara Region for three folks who came from Brisbane in Queensland Australia.
I found out that Brisbane is the third largest city in Australia with nearly 2 million residents. But my guests, Kimberley, Glenda and Omar were a lot of fun and up for the full 7 hour tour.
OK, I realize that not everyone who comes to Niagara Falls wants to slide around in a waterpark. But Niagara Falls is about water, and waterparks are also about water. Anyway, when I am showing people the sights of Niagara Falls I am often asked about the waterparks located here.
So let’s start by telling you about the Fallsview Indoor Waterpark.
In their own words, “The Fallsview Indoor Waterpark is Niagara’s newest and largest indoor waterpark, located on North America’s largest hotel and indoor waterpark complex, the Falls Avenue Entertainment Complex. Directly across the street from Niagara Falls the waterpark offers over 3 acres of indoor water fun including sixteen thrilling waterslides (some as high as six stories), a massive indoor wave pool, year round outdoor sundeck and activity pool, the mammoth “Beach House” Aqua Play area and much more.
Wandering around a place like Niagara-on-the-Lake is certainly interesting. Last Saturday was a wonderful spring day, and I always have my camera with me.

Parked on a street in Niagara-on-the-Lake was this interesting, some would say revolutionary, three-wheel motorcycle. It is called a Spyder. Three wheeled motorcycles are not unusual these days, but they usually have two wheels at the rear and one at the front.
The Spyder has two at the front and one at the rear. Like I said, unusual but unusual is kind of the norm when you visit Niagara-on-the-Lake.
