Niagara Falls Fries – Mmmmm Good!

I call ‘em fries, but you can call them chips, potatoes or whatever you want. Like most cities, Niagara Falls has some great Chip Wagons. One of them is a wonderful 1951 Chevy chip wagon owned and operated by Jake and Amy Hiebert. This chip wagon has been operating here in Niagara Falls since 1945.

Every once in a while I head down to downtown Niagara Falls, where they city and merchants are desperately trying to create a downtown revival, and buy a tasty box of fries. Must take a tour bus full of visitors there someday. Wouldn’t that be a hoot.

Anyway, the Toronto Star newspaper recently ran an article about famous chip wagons, and of course the Chevy Chip Wagon appears to have toped the list. To read more, just head over to French Fries and chip wagons part of Canadian identity.

Dangerous Combination: Bachelorettes & Wine

Maleta Winery in Niagara Ontario Canada Yesterday drove 11 (or was it 13) young women from Toronto to a couple of wineries in Niagara. They were having a bachelorette party for one lucky lady who is getting married.

The Maleta Winery and the Ravine Vineyard. Both a smaller, but very popular wineries in Niagara-on-the-Lake.

They spent an hour at each. Enough time to enjoy several tastes of excellent Niagara wines. Then after a beautiful drive along the Niagara Parkway back to their hotel, the Days Inn, in Niagara Falls, they headed for their room to get ready for a great dinner in Niagara.

Yes Virginia, being a tour guide/tour driver in Niagara Falls is interesting, always different and always lots of fun.

Your Wet Dream Thrill Of A Lifetime

There are lots of rides at Niagara Falls, but if you can only take one, then it has to be The Maid of the Mist boat ride.

Yes, you get wet, but really, don’t you come to Niagara Falls to see what, and the equals getting wet.

The Maid has been operating since 1846. Not the same boat(s) of course, but it certainly is a long lasting attraction. That’s because it is such a great ride. So mark it on your list. The Maid of the Mist.

It’s another of the sights that you get to experience first hand when you take the The Ultimate Niagara Tour.

Now This Is Too Weird Even At Niagara Falls

Heath Ledger likeness as the joker at Niagara Falls

Yup, even here Batman reigns supreme with the Joker locked up behind bars.

This wax likeness of The Joker as played by Heath Ledger is [yes] amazing and [yes] popular with the tourists. Not much to do with the Falls at Niagara Falls, but a lot to do with the fun of Clifton Hill.
